Alain Dobkin is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Catalyst CEL Fund, a dedicated Israeli Private Equity fund with an Israel-China cross-border strategy. Alain enjoys close to 20 years of investment and advisory experience spanning New York, Chicago, London, Tel Aviv, Hong Kong and Beijing and has participated in 80 successfully completed transactions with aggregate value of $40 billion including on numerous high profile Israeli and related M&A, IPO and investment transactions. Prior to co-founding Catalyst CEL Fund in 2013, Alain spent 13 years with Citigroup Global Markets, most recently as Director of Investment Banking for Citi's Israel franchise, where he served as lead advisor on a variety of strategic and financing initiatives with focus on mergers and acquisitions and the raising of equity and debt securities in both public and private markets globally. As one of Citigroup Israel's earliest members, Alain was an integral contributor to the establishment and development of the bank's Israeli operations during his tenure growing from a fledgling start-up in 2000 to almost 150 on the ground employees and the leading global bank operating in Israel. Prior to joining Citigroup in 2000, Alain spent 2 years as a Financial Analyst with investment bank Robert W. Baird & Co. Incorporated in Chicago. Alain graduated with Honors from York University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Pure and Applied Science (BSc). Alain also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Catalyst CEL Fund, Tufin Technologies, Harmon.ie, Lamina Technologies and the national educational non-profit organization, Ma’agalim.
